The Lancaster County Junior Envirothon is an environmental knowledge challenge designed for students in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6. Students compete in grade level teams of 5 students to demonstrate their understanding of four learning topics including trees, mammals, birds, and an ecology focus group. In addition to enhancing a student’s knowledge, it is just plain old fun!
Central Manor Elementary School has competed in the Lancaster County Envirothon for over 10 years! CM teams have shown great synergy over the years. We have countless parents and community members to thank for many hours put in to coach the children.
Classroom teachers in grades 3-6 have recently held discussions with their students regarding this opportunity. If you have questions about Envirothon, please e-mail your child’s classroom teacher or Mrs. Kathy Ashworth, Central Manor librarian: firstname.lastname@example.org
