4th Grade Visits the Zimmerman Center for Heritage
May 17, 2024
This week our entire 4th grade visited the Zimmerman Center in Columbia, PA as part of a year long watershed project. During the trip students participated in a scavenger hunt at the waterfront pavilion. Then they went on a guided hike to Native Lands County Park and saw the site of a former Susquehannock Indian town. Finally, they took part in a field stream study and learned about how people affect the health of rivers, streams and the Chesapeake Bay. The Zimmerman Center is part of the Susquehanna National Heritage Area, a national destination for cultural discovery.
